Dave + Melissa

Katie and Nolan both attended Ithaca College. But, they never crossed paths during there time there. They met on one fateful day in the summer of 2006 when a mutual friend introduced them. She had just returned from a kayaking trip with fresh blueberries in her possession. He couldn’t resist the blueberries or her beauty.

I think Nolan is pretty much the one to beat when it comes to engagement stories. This past summer they traveled to the beautiful island of Madeira, off the coast of Portugal, where Nolan’s mother was born. How much more romantic can you get proposing on top of a mountain alongside the ocean shore? Not much more, I say.

Dave and I had the good fortune of photographing their engagement session at Letchworth Park. The fall colors were amazing and we had a blast hiking around the park. We are very much looking forward to shooting their wedding on July 24th, 2010.

We headed over to Kent Park for the Salatino family photos and what fun! Lindsay and I are really good friends. We’ve known each other for about 8 years now. She is such a great mom to CJ and Ella. CJ is full of energy and such a happy kid. Ella is a beautiful little girl that has her mama’s spirit.

CJ is always ready to play. He kept saying to Dave – “Hey Dave, I want to run wild, OK?” Too cute for words. He did good sitting for a few family portraits, but what he really wanted to do was play hide and seek. I love this series of photos of when we were playing together.
