As I’ve mentioned a million times before, we were thrilled to travel to the Adirondacks for Erica and Jay’s beautiful mountain wedding. We are having so much fun going through the photos, so we wanted to share this sneak peek with all of you.

Erica and Jay opted to see each other before the ceremony, which I absolutely lovelovelove.  This ‘First Look’ gave them the opportunity to create a wonderful moment that was just shared between the two of them (oh,and us too!) We also had plenty of time to take some relaxed portraits, candids and detail shots. Plus, they had more time to enjoy each other, their guests, and the incredible setting. Most couples prefer that they keep it traditional and not see each other until the ceremony, which is great too! I say, do whatever makes you happy!

Here are our favorites so far…

Tiffany and Pete were married on August 7th at the Deerfield Country Club and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful. The sun was shining, the details were perfect and the ceremony was intimate. We are glad that we got to know the Surowy family because the love that they have for each other is inspiring. Thank you Tiffany, Pete and Kyle for inviting us to capture your special day, we had SO much fun with you and your friends (you guys know how to have fun!)

This past weekend we were invited to shoot a wedding in the Adirondacks. Thanks Erica and Jay, we love you! We decided to make it a long weekend getaway and took our vintage cameras with us. Have a look at these polaroids that we took with the SX-70 Alpha 1. To say that we enjoyed our stay in Jay, NY would be an understatement.

Here is the SWEET cabin that we found. It was amazing. Period. The front porch was well equipped with Adirondack Chairs and we made sure to make a stop at Lake Placid Brewery for some Ubu Ale in a growler! Best beer ever, just sayin’.

The photo on the left was taken in Lake Placid. It was so peaceful there. The cabin on the right was located near ours and I thought that it was so cute and quaint.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope your weekend has treated you well. Here are some of our favorites from Stacy and Brian’s engagement session.

We had a ton of fun hanging out with these two and I know that their wedding is going to rock!

Katie and Nolan were married on July 24th, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Church. The reception was held at Deerfield Country Club in Brockport. We had a great time spending the day with the two of them and all of their friends and family.

The day started at Larijames Salon & Spa in Webster with the girls. I love the next series of photos – while Katie was getting her make-up done, she got a text from Nolan telling her that he couldn’t wait to become her husband. We all got a little teary over that one.

On the way to the church we stopped off by the bay to take some portraits. The sky was epic and the girls were looking good!

The ceremony was filled with love, joy and happiness and we were grateful to be able to document their special day.

This is the little cottage house that we lived in over 7 years ago.

Everytime I think back to when we lived there, I have so many great memories. It was such a cute little space, just big enough for the two of us and our cat, Kayla. That is, until we made an addition to our little family.

Here is Maya on the first day that she came home with us. I think she looks a little possessed here. What do you think?

As I recall, Kayla wasn’t so fond of her when she was a little kitten. It took a while, but now they are good  friends.

This little house was also where Dave proposed to me and I, of course, said yes!

I always slow down whenever we drive by and think of how fragrant the roses were in our garden. Or, about the time that the driveway was so icy that we had to put down bird seed to get traction. Do you ever think back to the other places that you occupied? What fond (or not so fond) memories come to mind?

You may remember Jeff and Lindsey from their awesome Letchworth engagement session not too long ago. They are absolutely two of the coolest people we know and they had a beautiful ceremony in the Linehan Chapel at Nazareth. It was our first time shooting there and we loved it! The day started off with the girls getting ready at Scott Miller salon in Pittsford. I love that her hair accessory was handmade from an artist on Etsy. 

After the ceremony we headed over to the Sunken Garden at Werner Castle. Their bridal party rocked!

The reception was held at The Rabbit Room in Honeoye Falls, one of our favorite spots! The food is amazing and the staff there is awesome!

We headed over to Kent Park in Webster for Hung and Ingel’s engagement shoot. They are tying the knot in September and we are super happy that they chose us to be their wedding photographers. Here are some of our favorites.

We have been a bit behind on our blogging lately. But, we are back and have some great stuff coming up, including Tiffany and Pete’s engagement session! We had so much fun exploring Holley with the two of them and their son, Kyle.
